Academic Area: Clinical Mental Health and Counseling.

My primary research efforts focus on such topics as gratitude, hope, forgiveness, posttraumatic growth, and counselor development. Presently, I am directly involved in research efforts aimed at addressing the most empirically sound and clinically effective ways that counselors can make positive contributions to community-based efforts to impact major health epidemics sweeping our nation, such as obesity and cardiovascular disease.
